This season, RAYBA is putting your old basketball shoes to good use. We are partnering with Sprint to Cite Soleil in an effort to collect your old sneakers that will then be packaged and sent to a youth basketball community in Haiti.
We will be accepting shoe donations all season long (simply look for the below flyer and the donation bin at our various season events); as you're contemplating purchasing new shoes, please consider sharing those too small shoes with us.
Next Donation Opportunity: Boys House Tourney (February 24)
Visit the Rogers Recreation Open Gym page to see what additional space is available. Open gym is a supervised recreational time for individuals to work on their skills in various sports, get a great workout and socialize with others who share an interest in athletics. RAYBA provides youth in the communities of Dayton, Otsego and Rogers the opportunity to play organized basketball through House and Travel programs.
Players should be prepared to practice hard, play hard and have fun in a structured basketball environment. RAYBA provides In-House leagues for grades Kindergarten through 12th (Boys and Girls) along with Boys and Girls Travel teams for grades 4th through 8th.
Teams are coached and/or managed by local volunteers. Tryouts are held in September for the Travel teams. In the event a player does not make a Travel team, they are given the option to play on an In-House team. For more information on RAYBA's In-House or Travel basketball programs please click the House or Travel Information Center links above.
